Standartenfuhrer Wolf rubbed his temples. The stone walls of the secluded mountain monastery were freezing, damp, and smelled faintly of old cabbage. Out there, across the map of Europe, his colleagues were actively raiding ancient castles, filling heavy wooden crates with stolen gold, and shipping priceless Renaissance art back to their family estates. They were living the absolute dream. Meanwhile, Wolf was stuck in the middle of nowhere with a broken heater, a crumbling family castle back home that desperately needed a new roof, and absolutely nothing of value to plunder.
Then, he found the ledger in the abbey library. A dusty, half-burnt diary mentioning a legendary local treasure hidden somewhere in the surrounding peaks.
Honestly, Wolf did not care about local resistance cells or military strategy anymore. He only cared about that gold. The war felt far away, but his leaking roof was a very real problem. When modern players look for funny visual novels about hiding from the draft in 1941, they usually expect intense frontline action, but Wolf’s current mission was purely financial. He gathered his tactical unit, packed the trucks, and prepared to march deep into the alpine wilderness. The treasure hunt was officially on.
But there was one major obstacle standing in his way: Claire.
◆ Claire was the unit's newly assigned Gestapo radio liaison officer. She was sharp, cold, and possessed a terrifyingly perfect disciplinary record from Berlin. Wolf was absolutely convinced she was a spy sent by the high command to watch his every move and report any unofficial financial activities. She was simply too efficient. If she found out he was ditching his military duties to dig for shiny historical artifacts to fund his castle renovations, he would be court-martialed before noon.
◆ "Listen up, Wolf told his second-in-command, buckling his leather trench coat. "We leave the heavy equipment here. And we definitely leave Claire at the radio desk. Tell her she is in charge of monitoring local communications. It keeps her busy, keeps her out of my hair, and keeps Berlin happy.
◆ With a sudden wave of his hand, Wolf and his main detachment marched out of the heavy iron gates, leaving the abbey behind. He didn't realize that creating funny visual novels about hiding from the draft in 1941 requires exactly this kind of chaotic setup, where the strict, hyper-focused Claire is left completely in charge of a monastery full of lazy slackers.
